I had two faulty sony batteries, both swapped after 1 year on average, the last one I got under apple care is SMP and I hope it will last longer. :-D anyways I'm very happy about customer care and... guys.... 5 mins substitutions of faulty batteries. How could I complain to have a new battery in a 3 year old macbook pro, just a month before warranty expired. Luck!

Hi David,

I believe the battery life issue with the Sony batteries was due to a manufacturing fault. Theoretically, if one had a non-faulty Sony battery in their Macbook, they should get roughly the same battery life as the new SMP supplied batteries.

Best regards,

Ben
